KITTY  LIN 

Kitty is in the 10th year of her visual directorial career, with her stylish sense of cinematography and editing, along with solid experience and knowledge for visual effects and 3D animation.  Combining the best aspects from the two industries, she continues to create stunning and unique images that could make people feel something under their skin.

BIO

Kitty was born in Taiwan and moved to California when she was 13.  She graduated from School of Visual Arts in New York in year 2006, with her 3D-animated short film, "The Sky Bar", which won Best Animation of the Year Award and had been recognised in major festivals and publications all over the world.

In 2009, her live-action directorial debut "Awakening: The River of Forgetfulness" had received extremely positive feedback from film festivals for its stunning visual and haunting atmosphere.  LA Asian Pacific Film Festival described it as "A painfully beautiful and textured work that challenges you to identify what is is like to be left behind and forgotten."  The piece had won several awards including Best Visual Achievement from Zero Film Festival NYC.

The following year, Kitty was invited by Grass Jelly, award-winning production house, to direct the concert visual for "Hypnosis" for Faye Wong Asia Tour 2010. More than 200,000 fans total had attended the concert, and the backdrop visual had gotten high praise by the media.  In 2012, CEPHAS, a high-end fashion brand known for its conflicting characteristics and edgy designs, also invited her to direct the promotional video to sculpt its branding image.  The fashion video was presented in Shanghai Fashion Week in April 2013.  At the end of year 2014, Kitty has collaborated with Scott Beardslee for "Gentlewomen" by the most iconic pop singer Jolin Tsai in Taiwan.  The music video has over 1.3 million views on YouTube, and the video has received rave reviews from the media and the fans!

Kitty is currently working on feature films as Lead Layout Artist in London.  Her work includes "The Jungle Book", "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tale", "Passenger", "Transformers: The Last Knight", and most recently, "The Lion King".
